Like the previous album, VOX INSANA incorporates a full range of musical styles and surely is the most eclectic of all LIMBO releases. There are still fetish-influenced gothic/electro tracks, but the presence of acoustic and traditional electric instruments is higher than before, showing particularly in the apocalyptic folk ballads "Bloody Bathory" and the two covers "Thee Full Pack" (originally by Psychic TV) and "Magick" (originally by Thelema). This led to differences with Vincenzo Mustone, who left LIMBO before completion of the album. The track "93 Lashtal 93" was recorded by him and Riccardo Margarolo of Brazil, while the vinyl intro "Der Engel Von Westlichen Fenster" (recorded together with Simon Balestrazzi of T.A.C.) constituted the second collaborational work on VOX INSANA .
The last two parts of "Devastate E Liberate" also stand out as follow-up to the first part from OUR MARY OF CANCER. Like there, esoteric doctrines play again into the lyrical concept, but this time focused on the tragic side of human history.
