After the loss of the 1986/1987 album master due to Spittle's failure, MY WHIP, YOUR FLESH is LIMBO's real full-length debut. It was recorded in June 1989 at Soundcity Studio in Florence with resident sound-engineer Paolo Favati (Pankow) also co-producing. The Korg DDD1 drum machine was programmed by Gio:Fiaschi.
The sound on the record moves further into industrial, at the same time keeping the gothic atmosphere up. The Velvet Underground cover "Venus In Furs" stands out between the remaining tracks, but fits in well with the overall leitmotiv of fetish and extreme sexuality according to the likes of Bataille, De Sade or Moribeaux.
The milanese cult horror movie director Fabio Salerno used the tracks of MY WHIP, YOUR FLESH for his 1990 debut film "Notte Profonda".
